Shringarabhra Ras is an Ayurvedic medicine in tablet form.


  1. It is used in the Ayurvedic treatment of fever, indigestion, ascites, tuberculosis, cough, asthma, obesity, vomiting, gastritis, anemia, thirst, bleeding disorders.
  2. It acts as natural aphrodisiac and anti aging medicine.
  3. It is advised to take meet, ghee, gruel and cow milk, while taking this medicine. It is advised to avoid green leafy vegetables and sour food articles.

Effect on Tridosha – Balances Vata, Pitta Kapha


125 – 250 mg in the morning, with fresh ginger juice, before or after food or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor.

Shringarabhra Ras ingredients:

10 g fine powder of each of

Abhraka Bhasma – Bhasma (calx) of Mica – 96 g

6 g of each of

Karpura – Camphor – Cinnamomum camphora

Jatipatra – Nutmeg (leaf) – Myristica fragrans

Hrivera – Pavonia odorata

Ibhakana – Gajapippali – Scindapsus officinalis / Piper chaba

Patra – Cinnamomum tamala

Lavanga – Clove – Syzigium aromaticum

Mamsi – Nardostachys jatamansi

Taleesapatra – Abbies webbiana

Twak – Cinnamon – Cinnamomum zeylanicum

Nagakeshara – Mesua ferrea

Kushta – Saussurea lappa

Dhataki – Fire flame bush (flower) – Woodfordia fruticosa

3 g of each of

Haritaki – Chebulic Myrobalan (fruit rind) – Terminalia chebula

Vibhitaki – Belliric Myrobalan – Terminalia bellirica

Amalaki -Indian Gooseberry- Emblica officinalis / Phyllanthus emblica

Shunti – Ginger (rhizome) – Zingiber officinalis

Maricha – Black pepper – Piper nigrum

Pippali – Long pepper – Piper longum

Ela – Cardamom – Elettaria cardamomum – 12 g

Jatiphala – Nutmeg – Myristica fragrans – 12 g

Shuddha Gandhaka – Purified and processed Sulphur – 12 g

Shuddha Parada – Purified and processed Mercury – 6 g

Water – quantity sufficient for grinding
