Ayaskriti is commonly used ayurvedic medicine in Kerala for the treatment of urinary disorders, haemorrhoids, leucoderma, skin diseases, and loss of appetite, worm infestation, anaemia, irritable bowel syndrome, malabsorption disorders, and obesity (losing weight). The main action of Ayaskriti appears on the Vata Dosha and Kapha Dosha. It reduces accumulation of body fat by inducing fat burning. The most effects are observed on belly fat accumulation. However, its regular use helps to reduce overall body weight with slight variation in results person-to-person.
Ayaskriti consists of two words – AYAS, which means iron and KRITI, which means technique. The formulation prepared using iron is called Ayaskriti.
AYASKRITI INGREDIENTS (COMPOSITION) :
Ayaskriti contains ingredients of Asanadi Gana and Vatsakadi Gana in addition to iron, honey, jaggery etc.
PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTIONS :
Ayaskriti improves digestion, metabolism and assimilation. Its iron content increases the iron level in the blood, so it helps in anaemia. It induces burning of the accumulated fats, which may be mediated by iron and lipolytic action of other herbs present in it.

Ayaskriti benefits in reducing body fat, so induces weight loss. Its main indications include its uses in urinary disorders, hemorrhoids and skin diseases. In addition, it is also effective remedy for leukoderma, loss of desire to eat, worm infestation, anemia, irritable bowel syndrome, and malabsorption disorders.
Ayaskriti influence the iron level in the body and induces burning of the excess fat. In addition to this, it reduces urinary frequency, helps in urinary tract infections, eliminates the intestinal parasites, and corrects the metabolism and improves absorption.
AYASKRITI DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION :
The general dosage of Ayaskriti is as follows.
Children ---- 2.5 to 10 ml *
Adults ---- 10 to 30 ml *
Maximum Possible Dosage       ---  60 ml Per Day (in divided doses)
* Twice a day with equal amount of water
Best Time to Take: Immediately After Food
The dosage of Ayaskriti can be adjusted according to the digestive capacity of the patient. The dosage may be increased or decreased according to the individual requirement as per Dosha analysis and health condition. In Vata condition, the dosage of Ayaskriti should be limited to the specified dosage in the table. However, in Kapha condition, Ayaskriti dosage can be increased for enhancing its desired therapeutic actions.
