Description:Tamra Bhasma is an Ayurvedic medicine, prepared from Copper. It is used in Ayurvedic treatment of skin diseases, obesity, piles, asthma etc. This medicine should only be taken strictly under medical supervision.
Tamra Bhasma Uses:
Use of Tamra bhasm in poisoning:In olden days, when there was poisoning, first vomiting and purgation was induced to remove remnant poison in the gut. Then, to cleanse the heart, Tamra bhasma was administered to the patient. After that, Swarna bhasma is administered for a long period of time.
Tamra Bhasma dosage:
Pathya: Pathya must be followed according to the ailment. In skin ailments salt, sour and pungent items are to be reduced and totally avoided in severe cases for better results. Cold water should not even be touched, and wine and sex are to be strictly avoided, even in thought. No day time sleep and wakeful nights. Milk and ghee may be had in moderate quantities. restricting diet to milk, rice and fruits, avoidance of salt and sour things will bring quick results in severe cases. In cases that are not serious, it is good enough if this is taken in milk after dinner and light pathya observed.

Shuddha Tamra – Purified Copper – 100 g.
Purified Copper is added with purified Sulphur, ground well, (or it Copper ground with aloe vera juice) taken in thin cakes are prepared and heated in a closed container under 500 – 700 degree celcius for 24 hours to obtain black coloured Bhasma. (Copper Calx)
