Description:Narayana gulam is an Ayurvedic medicine in herbal paste/jam form. It is used for the treatment of asthma, cold, cough, indigestion etc.
Uses of Narayanagulam: It is useful in the treatment of Asthma, cold, cough, indigestion, anorexia, dyspepsia, gastritis. It corrects bowel movements.
Ingredients of Narayana gulam: Each 10 gm consists of- Pitikamula – 13.158 g Rajani (Curcuma longa)- 8.421 ml Dhatri (Embelica officinale)- 8.421 ml Guda (Jaggery)- 4.211 g Sharkara (Sugar)- 2.105 g Ela (Elettaria cardamomum)- 0.066 g Lavanga (Syzygium aromaticum)- 0.066 g Patra (Cinnamomum tamala) – 0.066 g Amra (Magnifera indica)- 0.132 g Kesara (Crocos sativus)- 0.132 g Vishwa (Zingiber officinale)- 0.132 g Tuka (Cucuma angustifolia)- 0.263 g Madhuka (Gluycyrrhiza glabra)- 0.263 g
Dosage of Narayana gulam: 5 – 10 grams, once or twice a day after food or as advised by Ayurvedic doctor.
Side effects: It is best to be avoided in diabetic patients, since it contains sugar and jaggery.
