Description:Shwas Kuthar Ras is an Ayurvedic medicine in tablet or powder form. It is used in the treatment of asthma, dyspnoea, chronic bronchitis etc.  This medicine should only be taken under strict medical supervision.

Shwas Kuthar Ras Uses: 

  • It is used in treatment of cough, cold, asthma, bronchitis, anorexia, indigestion.
  • It is told that in case of unconsciousness or epilepsy, powder of this tablet can be used for nasal instillation. But do not attempt such practices.

Shwas Kuthar Rasa dosage:
125 – 250 mg once or twice a day, before or after food or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor. It is traditionally administered along with honey, hot water.

How long to use: It can be used upto 1 – 2 months based on doctor’s prescription.

Shwas Kuthar Ras side effects:

  1. Self medication with this medicine may prove to be dangerous, since it contains heavy metal ingredient.
  2. Take this medicine in precise dose and for limited period of time, as advised by doctor.
  3. Over-dosage may cause sever poisonous effect.
  4. It is best avoided in pregnancy, lactation and in children.
  5. Keep out of reach and sight of children. Store in a dry cool place.

10 g fine powder of each of
Shuddha Parada – Herbal purified Mercury
Shuddha Gandhaka – Herbal purified Sulphur
Shuddha Vatsanabha – Purified Aconitum ferox
Tankana Bhasma – Borax
Manashila – Purified and processed Realgar (Arsenic di sulphide)
Shunti – Ginger Rhizome – Zingiber officinalis
Pippali – Long pepper fruit – Piper longum
Maricha – Black pepper – Piper nigrum – 90 g
