Trikatu (Indian Long Pepper, Black Pepper and Ginger/Piper longum, Piper nigrum and Zingiber officinale) is a polyherbal compound that provides a natural and safe support system for gaseous distension associated with impaired gastric function.

Active Constituents:
The main compound found in Black Pepper, one of the herbal ingredients in Trikatu, is the chemical substance called piperine. This compound influences metabolic activity in the human body. Studies have demonstrated that piperine is thermogenic, increases the bioavailability of nutrients and medications administered along with it, enhances metabolism and reduces mucus. Gingerol and shogaol, the active constituents in Ginger, suppress gastric contractions. Both the fresh and dried rhizomes of Ginger suppress gastric secretions and reduce vomiting.
