The word ‘arogya’ signifies ‘good health’ whereas ‘vardhini’ stands for ‘improver’, i.e. an ayurveda formulation that can completely eradicate diseases and improve or promote good health.
Time and again, this herbal remedy is widely mentioned in the ancient ayurvedic texts of Rasaratnasamucchaya for the treatment of kustha i.e. leprosy and also prized as Sarvarogaprashamani i.e. a remedy for all sorts of ailments. It is also strongly advocated in the texts of Bhaishyajyaratnavali for treating yakritvikara i.e. liver disorders.
