Lavangadi Vati is an Ayurvedic formulation commonly used for the treatment of asthma, cough, and fever[1]. It is a mixture of different herbs like clove, black paper, Bibhitaki, black catechu, acacia, etc., which when combined provides various health-benefiting results.
Lavangadi Vati contains cloves which help control cough, release mucus, and clear air passages, helping the patient breathe freely. According to Ayurveda, Lavangadi Vati has Kapha and Vata balancing properties which help fight the symptoms of allergic rhinitis. This Kapha balancing property releases sputum out of the respiratory tract, thereby helping manage the symptoms of bronchitis. Taking Lavangadi Vati helps balance Kapha and removes excess mucus from the lungs. This gives relief from the symptoms of cough and asthma
Lavangadi Vati is available in tablet form. Take 1-2 tablets twice a day or as directed by the doctor to get relief from the symptoms of cough and fever. You can take it with water, preferably after meals. You can take the tablets with honey also. Just crush the tablets and mix them with honey.
