Navayasa Churna or navayasa lauha, is a herbal powder form. Nava nine ingredients. Ayas is Iron.the 9ingredients processed with iron (purified form).

its usage:

It is used in the treatment of Anemia, Heart diseases, Skin diseases, Piles and Jaundice.

Effect on dosha –  Calms Pitta.

Navayasa Churna Ingredients:

It is prepared from 10 grams of each of:

Trikatu – Ginger, Pepper, Long pepper

Triphala – Amla (Phyllanthus emblica), Haritaki – Terminalia chebula, Vibhitaki (Terminalia bellirica)

Musta – Cyperus rotundus

Vidanga – Embelia ribes

Chitraka – Plumbago zeylanica

90 grams of Lauha bhasma – Processed with Iron Bhasma.

Dosage:

1 gram along with honey and ghee, once or twice daily after food.

It is available in tablet form also.

Side Effects:

1. People with sensitive stomach and gastritis should exercise caution.
   
2. Special care is needed while administering this medicine to children.
3. It is best to take it under doctor’s guidance.
