Himalaya Cystone Syrup

Cystone Syrup is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Himalaya Herbal Healthcare. It is used for the treatment of urinary calculi & UTI. 
Mode of action of Cystone Syrup:
Anti-lithiatic & lithotriptic – Cystone has potent anti-lithiatic -prevents the formation of kidney stones and lithotriptic -dissolves kidney stones properties. It prevents the accumulation, deposition and super saturation of calculogenic chemicals like oxalic acid and calcium hydroxyproline in urine. This action inhibits the formation of kidney stones. Its lithotriptic property dissolves mucin, which binds the stone particles together.
Cystone is also a diuretic that flushes out small stones from the kidneys.
Combats urinary tract infections & symptoms –  Cystone normalizes urinary pH and alleviates burning during urination. Its anti-microbial property combats common urinary pathogens. Its demulcent and anti-inflammatory properties are beneficial in soothing an irritated bladder.
 Ingredients of Cystone syrup:
Each 5 ml of syrup contains extracts of –
Gokshura – Tribulus terrestris – 91 mg
Punarnava – Boerhaavia diffusa – 67 mg
Pashanabheda -Berginia ligulata – 53 mg
Musta – Cyperus rotendus – 42 mg
Shatavari -Asperagus racemosus – 21 mg
Kulattha -Dolichos biflorus – 21 mg – Horse gram
Usheera -Vetiveria zizanioides – 21 mg
Trikatu -Zingiberofficinale, Piper nigrum, Piper longum – 20 mg – a combination of ginger rhizome, pepper fruit and long pepper fruit.
Kachura – Curcuma zedoaria – 14 mg
Powders of –
Saindhava -Rock salt – 50 mg
Sauvarchala -Black salt – 42.5 mg
Yavakshara -Hordeum vulgare – 5 mg
Navasara -Ammonium chloride – 2.5 mg
Indication of Syrup:
For the prophylaxis & treatment of adult and paediatric urolithiasis -kidney stone formation including calcium oxalate stones, calcium and phosphate stones and uric acid and urate bladder stones.
Crystalluria -presence of crystals in urine
Prevention of post-lithotripsy -removal of kidney stones with shock waves recurrence of stones.
As an adjuvant in chronic UTI, non-specific urethritis -irritation or swelling of urethra including dysuria -painful urination or blood present in urine, burning micturition and hyper-urcemia -gout.
Dosage of Cystone:
1 teaspoon – 1 tablespoon – once or twice a day, after food or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor.
Dosage may be titrated depending on the severity and chronicity of the disease.
Syrup:-
Children – ½-1 tsp twice a day after meals.
Adults – 1-2 tsp twice a day after meals.
Recommended adequate water for hydration.
A higher dosage may be recommended for more severe and chronic conditions and for older children.
Side effects of Cystone Tablet & Syrup:
Not ideal in people with diabetes.
There are no known side effects with this medicine.

This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
